Okay, God...

Over the past week God has been giving me things to think about.
1. The exhortation to think on these things:
"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things." (Philippians 4:8)
2. The recent surge of bees that buzz frantically around the light every morning when i take a bath before school (and if I don't bathe fast enough and leave the light on for too long, 1 or 2 end up dropping dead :'( ) that remind me how we by sinful nature are also attracted to that which will harm us.
3. The song that played "God I look to You, God I won't be overwhelmed" just when I was feeling so.
4. A recent "How have you been?" by a dear sis-in-Christ whom I (i) haven't seen in awhile, (ii) see as a Christian role model and will share with her because she does not condemn but always brings me back to Christ and lifts me to God in prayer.
Time
Rushes by so fast- yet,
So slowly;
Waits for no man-
Yet is controlled by God.
- and time again,
I manage to surprise myself
With the extent of my self-centredness
My Egosim that God Opposes
And I have mentioned myself no less than four times in the last paragraph.

I shudder to think of what I would be like without God.
Pursuing myself and my own pleasures to no end, particularly since I am no amicable follower of social constructs.
(Which is useful in some sense because not all social constructs are right).
