My Students Remember Me

These few weeks have really just come and gone like a breeze... and school has ended. P6s have graduated- yes, 100%, from ZPS. Not so for FTPPS though... :.(
To be honest, I didn't expect (although I did harbour some hope) that any of them would remember / pay attention to me, because I don't even teach them, plus I only came in this July. In fact, the only interaction I've had with them would be a 2h Stomp Workshop where I sat in to maintain discipline for 6IN, and the JB day trip where I took 6DS and 6IN girls. Oh, and 30min relieving 6DL.
Sure, some of them wanted me to sign their books/shirts, and a number added me on Instagram- but those were possibly just cos I happened to be there relieving their class at that point in time, and insta is... well, insta.
But I was touched when students did remember me- both from ZPS as well as FTPPS, and came of their own accord to thank me and affirm me (lolll ikr).
I even had 1 student whom I taught in P2 in FTPPS- she was a really quiet and shy child and I only taught her for Music apart from being the co-FT of the class (with the power Jo-anne and wifey Nadia <3), who recently added me and talked to me on insta-message. I think these messages are very affirming as many times I feel as though I don't make a difference in the students' lives since I only see them for such a short period in 1 week (1hr???).
However, I do also want to remind myself that I'm not in this for affirmation- i'm doing what I do for God. My goal is to impact others for God, to please God. To be a type of Christ, so others see God through me. To be His ambassador, His representer. To show His love to others.
Of course I struggle to do that- I'm not God! But God gives more grace.
